Mornings With You
SSAA Choir, Flute, Clarinet, French Horn, & Piano
The poems for this four movement work are written by Brooklyn poet Pam McAllister. The first movement “Mornings With You” is a melodramatic reflection on that moment when your love leaves for the day. “The Glass Half Full” follows, humorously addressing the concept of whether or not opposites attract. The third movement “Popovers” captures the serenity of spending a quiet morning with friends. The joyous final movement “Hunting, Gathering Harmonic Vibrations” describes the excitement of sharing your passions with the one you love. Performance by Melodia Women’s Choir of NYC, Cynthia Powell, conductor.
